RAJ NAIR
It has been a rewarding 30 plus years in the advertising business. But Raj starts over again. Every. Single. Day.
His excitement and love for good work helps him do that. With a shiver running up and down his spine, when a good idea is cracked and executed. (The only time an experience came close was when he did a bungee jump in Chiang Mai.)
Over all this time and agencies like HTA, Enterprise, Contract and Madison, he managed to get some appreciation too. Around 200+ Indian Awards (Abbies, CAG, INK, Kyoorius, Pepper, Olive Crown) and International Awards (Cannes, One Show, New York Festival, Asia Pac AdFest, Spikes Asia, London International, The Cup) and Certifications as Writer as well as Creative Director. He was even Awarded Covid Humanitarian Hero by IAA India (International Advertising Association) in 2020/21 for #TheWorldNeedsABreather initiative during the Covid pandemic.
Raj has been a jury member at Abbys, Olive Crown, New York Festival, Asia Ad Fest (Thailand), Ad Stars Korea and Cannes Lions, sometimes even a Jury Chair. Raj has been among Top 100 MEDIA Asia Creative Directors and Top 20 Indian Creative Directors, Economic Times Brand Equity.
When he is not busy helping create advertising, you’ll find him at home spinning LP records on his music system, travelling across continents, consuming films/shows/books, losing his sanity over football, occasionally throwing something together in the kitchen, catching live music or art, enjoying good food, playing with his pet cat Yoda or losing arguments with his daughters Udita, Nitya or his wife Kalpana. Raj wants to continue making some top gear creative work that works for brands. While making Garage even more famous.
